Today we have Part 2 of the Chicago GM NFL first round mock draft - with picks 17 through 32.
No. 17 - Cincinnati Bengals: DL Kenneth Grant (Michigan)
Team Needs: WR, G, DL
A disruptive interior presence, Grant helps improve Cincinnati’s run defense and pass rush.
No. 18 - Seattle Seahawks: ED Mike Green (Marshall)
Team Needs: IOL, ED, LB
Green adds another edge-rushing presence for the Seahawks, bringing high energy and explosiveness. Over his last couple of years at Marshall, Green earned a 93.6 overall PFF grade, which ranked 2nd amongst all edge rushers in this draft class.
No. 19 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers: ED Mykel Williams (Georgia)
Team Needs: ED, LB, DB
A powerful, well-rounded edge defender, Williams gives Tampa a long-term pass-rushing solution. Williams is a much more polished run defender than he is a pass rusher. In 2024, he earned an 82.9 run defense grade according to PFF compared to his pass rush grade of only 70.7.
No. 20 - Denver Broncos: WR Emeka Egbuka (Ohio State)
Team Needs: WR, TE, LB, S
A polished route-runner, Egbuka provides a much-needed playmaker for QB Bo Nix and Denver’s offense. To absolutely nobody's surprise, Egbuka is yet another WR to come out of Ohio State and be projected as a first-round pick. The fact that Egbuka was able to reach 1,000 receiving yards in 2 out of his 3 seasons in Columbus while having to share targets with the likes of Marvin Harrison Jr., Jerrimiah Smith, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is very impressive in its own right.
No. 21 - Pittsburg Steelers: DB Jahdae Barron (Texas)
Team Needs: QB, WR, DB
A versatile defensive back, Barron strengthens Pittsburgh’s secondary with his ball skills and tackling ability. Barron’s 90.7 PFF grade in 2024 ranked 3rd out of over 800 eligible CB’s and allowed a passer rating of just 34.2 along with snagging 5 interceptions.
No. 22 - Los Angeles Chargers: WR Matthew Golden (Texas)
Team Needs: RB, WR, TE, ED
Golden brings speed and playmaking ability to help form a potentially lethal duo with Ladd McConkey. His deep threat abilities are very apparent as he had 438 deep yards on 13 deep catches in 2024, both ranking amongst the best in college football.
No. 23 - Green Bay Packers: ED Shemar Stewart (Texas A&M)
Team Needs: WR, C, ED, CB
Green Bay adds to its pass rush with Stewart, an athletic and physical edge presence. To go along with Stewart’s QB hunting abilities, he is an even better run defender, earning a run defense grade of 88.2 in 2024 according to PFF.
No. 24 - Minnesota Vikings: RB Omarion Hampton (UNC)
Team Needs: RB, G, DL, CB
The Vikings find their new workhorse running back, adding power and speed to their backfield. Hampton is the next in line of a generational RB draft class in 2025. Over his last two seasons at UNC, Hampton tallied 3,160 rushing yards and 30 rushing touchdowns. Plus, in 2024 he had 1,222 yards after contact which was the 2nd most in the country only behind Ashton Jeanty.
No. 25 - Houston Texans: DL Derrick Harmon (Oregon)
Team Needs: WR, IOL, DL
Houston boosts its defensive interior with Harmon’s size and run-stopping ability. Despite his run-stuffing like size, Harmon is an exceptional pass rusher from the interior as he had an elite pass rush win rate of 17.6% and a true pass set pass rush grade of 91.2 according to PFF. Lining up next to the likes of Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter would make Houston’s pass rush even more deadly than it already was.

No. 26 - Los Angeles Rams: T Armand Membou (Missouri)
Team Needs: TE, T, LB, CB
The Rams solidify their offensive line with a physical and athletic tackle in Membou. To me, Membou is one of the more underrated O-lineman in this class. In 2024, he allowed zero sacks and zero QB hits in his 411 pass blocking snaps at right tackle. He is also a very good run blocker with his 87.6 run block grade according to PFF.
No. 27 - Baltimore Ravens: T Grey Zabel (North Dakota State)
Team Needs: WR, T, ED, CB
Baltimore ensures long-term protection for Lamar Jackson by adding a strong, agile offensive lineman. Zabel’s allowed pressure rate of just 2.9% over his last three collegiate seasons is ranked amongst the top of all OL in this class. With Ronnie Stanley getting older, Zabel could be the replacement that the Ravens are looking for.
No. 28 - Detroit Lions: ED Nic Scourton (Texas A&M)
Team Needs: IOL, ED, LB
The Lions add another pass rusher to pair with Aidan Hutchinson, strengthening their defensive front. Considering where Detroit is picking, Scourton would be a great addition. In 2024, he had a very impressive pass rush win rate of 17.1% as well as a solid 80.6 PFF pass rush grade.
No. 29 - Washington Commanders: T Josh Conerly Jr (Oregon)
Team Needs: WR, T, ED, CB
The Commanders reinforce their offensive line with Conerly’s athleticism and pass-blocking skills. Conerly has a wealth of experience at the left tackle position, accumulating nearly 1k snaps in both 2024 and 2023. He also has only given up 2 sacks in that time.
No. 30 - Buffalo Bills: DL Darius Alexander (Toledo)
Team Needs: WR, DL, LB, CB
Buffalo adds depth and power to their defensive line with Alexander’s versatility. Alexander is definitely one of the top run-stuffers in this class with his large 6’4” 310-pound frame and a 90.3 run defense grade according to PFF. This pick might be seen as a bit of a reach when you look at other mock drafts, but I was very impressed with Alexander’s stats and grades, and I think that the Bills need to put a lot of resources into their defense this offseason if they ever want to knock off the Chiefs in the postseason.
No. 31 - Kansas City Chiefs: DL Tyleik Williams (Ohio State)
Team Needs: T, DL, LB
With an aging Chris Jones, the Chiefs bolster their defensive front with Williams’ ability to pressure the quarterback from the interior.
No. 32 - Philadelphia Eagles: DB Trey Amos (Ole Miss)
Team Needs: WR, G, ED, CB
The defending Super Bowl champs reinforce their already elite secondary with Amos, a physical cornerback with excellent coverage skills to pair along with their other stud young corner, Quinyon Mitchell.
